The mounting brackets (included) mount the shifter directly to the existing e-brake bolt holes (3-bolt style) found in the pre-964 series 911's.

The mounting of the shifter greatly improves the "knob" position for the driver. Instead of leaning forward to shift, just drop your hand off the steering wheel and its right there. A much more tight and precise throw can be keenly felt by the driver.

Hargett Precision Products billet racing 911 valve covers are precisely made and will not warp like stock valve covers. Don't waste your time trying to flatten the stock valve covers, they will eventually just warp again from the metal memory.
